You will be picked up from Kigali Airport by your guide (we recommend arriving on a flight before midday) and begin your scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas and an incredible diversity of wildlife, including 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species such as the Blue-throated Broadbill and the Bar-tailed Trogon, among many other beautiful forest birds.
This evening, you are encouraged to retire early to ensure you are well-rested for the thrilling gorilla trekking adventure awaiting you the next day.
